Ocean Park opened in 1977 to promote and support animal conservation in Hong Kong and throughout the Asia region. It is one of Hong Kong’s most popular attractions providing a mix of entertainment and education about conservation. By co-operating with various conservation organisations, Ocean Park has launched many conservation programmes for a number of endangered species, including whales and dolphins and has successfully bred rare species of birds, sharks and butterflies.
The 80-hectare park has exciting features like Southeast Asia’s first see jelly aquarium, housing the most amazing selection of beautiful jellyfish from all over the world. Among the thrilling rides are the Abyss Turbo Drop, the Mine Train, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat, Amazing Amazon, the Flying Swing and the Film Fantasia Simulator Ride.
